Bio:

The most basic soldier in an Anima army, even the lowly infantry is well educated and trained. Their gear is of masterwork quality and each member has at least basic tactical training. They are easily capable of fast, decisive victories over larger armies.

The Anima are intelligent and highly mobile. They value the lives of other Anima above all and will not willingly leave another behind if there is a chance of saving them. They will abide by basic codes of war when dealing with sentient, non- evil enemies.

The Anima value artistic endeavors highly and during their early eduction as youths they receive training in a trade skill, as well as a performance skill of their choice. Every infantryman is capable of performing their craft skill at a level to create masterwork or complex items.

Tactics:
Anima infantry are very perceptive, this combined with thier tendancy to be flying most of the time means they are unlikely to have anyone get the drop on them. They will always open with ranged attacks from their bow to minimize risk and maximize their greatest asset, mobility.

If unable to use ranged attacks effectively, perhaps due to cover or magical protection, they will fall back on straffing attacks. The Flyby Attack used in conjunction with their reach weapon and power attack can negate most obstacles and deal significant damage.

If both their ranged and melee straffing is ineffective, they will immediately retreat while providing cover fire with their bows. If cover fire is pointless (in the event of magical warding for example) they will simply move away at top speed towards reinforcements.

The Anima never throw their lives away. immortality is not something to be wasted. They do not fear death, but they are cautious where other races may be willing to press an attack.
